Ford CEO Jim Farley said the company's next electric pickup truck (the successor to the Ford F-150 Lightning) will look like the Millennium Falcon. It's about a spaceship from the Star Wars universe, captained by Han Solo, played by Harrison Ford.

Ford has announced that it plans to follow the F-150 Lightning with a new electric vehicle that will go into production in 2025. In addition to improving the range and towing capabilities of the current Lightning, the next generation pickup truck will be "fully upgradeable and continuously improved."

These types of features are expected to be made possible by the new electric platform and enhanced over-the-air (OTA) update availability.

A second Ford electric pickup truck will be built at the Blue Oval City plant at a cost of $5.6 billion.
