Yesterday, Ford, one of the world's most popular car companies, opened a 100 percent green plant. The cars that will be produced at this plant will also be environmentally friendly - electric cars.

It is noted that the first car to be produced by the plant will be an electrified version of the Explorer SUV, popular all over the world.

The opening of a new Ford plant in Europe marks the beginning of a new era in automotive manufacturing. The Cologne plant was built in 1930. It is reported that 18 million vehicles have been produced here since then. After modernization, the plant will produce new generation cars.

The company is reported to have invested $2 billion for the modernization. It is noted that the new electric vehicles “combine German engineering with striking American style.” By the end of 2026, the company plans to produce 250,000 electric vehicles per year at this plant.
