Hyundai has patented a walking car, the concept of which was shown back in 2019. At the same time, the company announced that the car could be put into production.
The walking car is called Hyundai UMV (Ultimate Mobility Vehicle) and should surpass any SUV in cross-country ability. He received four sliding support-rotary “legs”. They allow you to overcome various obstacles or large holes on the road.
The vehicle can lift cargo to a height of up to 1.5 m, and the body itself can be passenger or cargo. Such vehicles are proposed, in particular, for use in search and rescue operations. It can be completely unmanned.
