The Italian company Lamborghini intends to switch to the production of hybrid supercars within the next two to three years. According to Reuters, besides them, before the end of this decade, the company will launch the production of a completely new line of electric vehicles.
According to company chairman Stefan Winkelmann, the transition to new technologies is necessary both to keep up with increasingly stringent legislation and to meet customer needs.
As Winkelman noted, Lamborghini's first electric car will be a sports two-door coupe in the Suv Coupe GT form factor. It will be designed for 4 seats and have a high ground clearance, but at the same time moderate in size to become a car for every day.
According to the agency, the Italian brand will make its entire lineup, including the Huracan and Aventador sports cars, and the Urus SUV, hybrid within two to three years.
