Tesla will double the size of its plant near Berlin to reach production of one million electric vehicles per year. This will make the plant the largest automobile manufacturer in Germany, The Wall Street Journal reports.

Automaker employees say the expansion will significantly increase the number of jobs. Currently, just over 10 thousand people work at the Tesla plant in Germany. In the future, after the expansion of the enterprise, the number of jobs will increase to 22.5 thousand.
