Uzbekistan resumed transportation of goods through the territory of Turkmenistan. The corresponding order came into force on June 1, gazeta.uz reports with reference to the Ministry of Transport of the Republic.
It is noted that the route through the Turkmen territory runs through the checkpoints "Alat" - on the border with Uzbekistan and "Serakhs" - with Iran. The column with trucks is formed from 8:00 am.
Along the way, special parking lots are provided for drivers to rest, refuel and maintain vehicles.
The source notes that in case of malfunctions or other problems while driving, drivers will be assisted by the Road Transport Agency of Turkmenistan.
Earlier, we reported that in order to effectively use international transport corridors, from June 1, transportation along the Sarakhs-Farap-Serakhs route was also resumed.
Crossing the border is subject to the following requirements:
drivers must submit the documents necessary for processing transit through the border of Turkmenistan for special sanitation;
vehicles are subject to sanitary cleaning;
when crossing the border, you must present the results of a PCR test for COVID-19 (at least 72 hours in advance) or a certificate of vaccination against coronavirus (at least 42 days from the date of the last vaccination);
take a rapid test for COVID-19 on duty.
