Turkmenistan to Resume Regular Flights to UAE, Germany

Turkmenistan will soon resume regular flights to the UAE and Germany’s Frankfurt. The flights will be held once a week.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov during the online cabinet meeting on Friday approved the relevant proposal on the resumption of international flights, which was submitted by Sapardurdy Toyliyev, the Deputy Chairman of the Government on science, education, healthcare and sports issues and Chairman of the Emergency Commission to Combat the Spread of Diseases.

The proposal was approved in Turkmenistan given the successful vaccination campaign against COVID-19 in many countries around the world.

Additionally, the summer holiday season in the Avaza Tourist Zone on the Caspian coast is scheduled to open on May 15, the country’s official media reports.

In accordance with the President’s instructions, the internal regular flights will also resume as usual starting May 25.

During the meeting, President Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need to continue the necessary measures to ensure the health of the people, and gave specific instructions to the relevant authorities in this regard.
