Description
Decarbonizer for ML204 engine is intended for both independent use and as a service tool.
- For best results, warm up the engine to operating temperature (not below 70°C).
- Disconnect the ignition system (e.g. disconnect the ignition coil terminal). This will prevent failure of the high-voltage part of the ignition system and possible ignition of the vapors of the drug.
- For gasoline engine - remove the spark plugs. For diesel - glow plugs or injectors.
- Set the pistons to the position, close to average, by turning the crankshaft by the pulley mounting nut or by using the drive wheel with the gear engaged (on vehicles with a manual transmission).
- You can determine the position of the pistons through the technological holes using a long feeler gauge.
- Drain the oil from the engine into a clean container (it will be used later to flush the engine) and remove the oil pan.
- Using a syringe with an extension tube, pour an equal amount of liquid into each cylinder. Close the technological holes (for example, screw in the spark plugs a few turns) to create a “steam bath” in the combustion chambers.
- Leave the decoking agent to act for 60 minutes. It is recommended to periodically move the pistons slightly up and down for better penetration of the composition. If after this period there is a large amount of liquid left in the cylinders, the exposure time may be increased to 90 minutes.
- Clear the technological holes,Remove as much liquid as possible from the combustion chambers using a syringe with an extension tube and wipe the crankcase and engine walls dry with a clean cloth to remove traces of cleaning liquid.
- Perform the procedure of purging the cylinders with compressed air (up to 4 atm.)
- Install the oil pan.
- Pour the previously drained motor oil into the engine. Perform the cylinder purging procedure: Cover the technological holes with a thick cloth to avoid splashing of the composition. Fully depress the accelerator pedal and turn the engine shaft with the starter 1-2 times for 5 seconds.
- On engines with a volume of more than 2,000 cm3, it is recommended to turn off the fuel supply system, since when the engine is cranked with the starter and the power supply system is on, fuel vapors can ignite in the resonator.
- Install the dismantled units and parts. Make sure the assembly is correct.
- Start the engine and warm it up to operating temperature.
- Turn off the engine and remove as much of the used oil from the engine as possible, using the most efficient method for your vehicle.
- Replace the oil filter and fill with new oil.
- After cleaning, do not load the engine with high revs for the first 10-20 kilometers.
- Avoid contact of the composition with paintwork.
- Use with caution for decoking engines with extreme wear and heavily contaminated lubrication systems.
