Compressor oil Castrol Aircol PD 68

Ashless oil recommended for the lubrication of rotors, bearings and gearboxes in rotary compressors, especially in oil-flooded screw compressors with an oil service life of up to 2000 hours under normal operating conditions. Normal operating conditions in screw compressors are defined by a maximum discharge temperature =/< 100C according to ISO 6743-3: 2003.

Application:

• Castrol Aircol PD 68 oil can be used for the lubrication of piston and rotary air compressors under normal and severe operating conditions according to ISO 6743.
  Normal operating conditions include:
  • discharge temperature =/< 165C
  • pressure drop =/< 2.5 MPa (25 bar)
  • discharge pressure =/< 7.0 MPa (70 bar).
  Severe operating conditions include:
  • discharge temperature > 165C
  • differential pressure > 2.5 MPa (25 bar)
  • discharge pressure > 7.0 MPa (70 bar)
• Castrol Aircol PD 32 compressor oil has a low tendency to form carbon deposits and meets the requirements of DIN 51506 VDL standard for piston compressors with discharge temperatures up to 220C.
• Castrol Aircol PD 68 oil is suitable for oil-flooded rotary compressors.

Compatibility and miscibility:

Fully compatible with nitrile, silicone and fluoroplastic sealing materials.
