On the day of the celebration of the Day of the Constitution and the State Flag of Turkmenistan in the Balkan velayat, an automobile bridge across the Ashgabat-Turkmenbashi railway line was put into operation in a solemn atmosphere.

As emphasized at the opening ceremony, which was attended by representatives of public organizations and honorary elders, the commissioning of a new structure of specialized infrastructure clearly demonstrates that the country is successfully continuing work to modernize the transport and logistics system, to revive the Great Silk Road in accordance with the requirements of the time. The construction of the bridge was carried out by specialists of the Department of Bridge Construction of the State Agency for the Management of Road Construction by order of the Inspectorate for the Construction and Operation of Highways of the Velayat Department for the Operation of Highways. Employees of the “Balkanýolgurluşyk” department were engaged in asphalt laying at the facility, and the specialists of “Balkanenergogurluşyk” were responsible for lighting.

The bridge will create new opportunities for the uninterrupted transportation of various goods by road to destinations arriving at the International Sea Port of Turkmenbashi. The width of each side of the two-way bridge, consisting of three lines, is 13.25 meters. Pedestrian safety is provided by sidewalks, the width of which is two meters on each side. The festive atmosphere of this celebration was multiplied by the performances of the creative teams of the velayat.
