TOYOTA IS FAREWELL TO ITS 'GLOBAL STRATEGIC VEHICLE' CAMRY IN JAPAN
Catalog: News

Toyota, the world's largest automaker, has announced it will cease production of its "global strategic vehicle" Camry sedan in Japan.

For 43 years, the car has remained one of the most popular vehicles in the world. But the popularity of sedans in the Japanese market is falling. In total, 600,000 of these cars are currently being produced, and only 6,000 of them have been sold in Japan. This means that this is only 1 percent of all cars sold in the world. Because of this, the car will no longer be produced in Japan.

About 21 million Camrys have been sold over the decades.
